Anti-Bribery & Corruption Policy
Last updated: 25 May 2026
RetailsSupp operates a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption. This policy applies to everyone working for or on behalf of J & S Allan, regardless of role, location or seniority.
Legal framework
We comply with the UK Bribery Act 2010, which makes it an offence to:
- Offer, promise or give a bribe (Section 1)
- Request, agree to receive or accept a bribe (Section 2)
- Bribe a foreign public official (Section 6)
- Fail as a commercial organisation to prevent bribery (Section 7)
What is a bribe?
A bribe is any financial or other advantage offered, given or received to induce or reward improper performance of a function. This includes:
- Cash payments outside normal commercial terms
- Excessive gifts, hospitality or expenses
- “Facilitation payments” to speed up routine services
- Loans, donations or favours intended to influence a decision
Gifts & hospitality
Modest, infrequent, transparent gifts and hospitality (under £50 in value) given or received in the normal course of business are permitted, provided they are recorded and disclosed to the proprietor.
Donations
We do not make political donations of any kind. Charitable donations are made only to UK-registered charities and recorded transparently.
Reporting suspected bribery
If you suspect bribery or corruption involving RetailsSupp or our suppliers, email support@retailssupp.com. We take all reports seriously and protect whistleblowers under the Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998.
Breach
Breach of this policy by an employee will lead to disciplinary action up to and including dismissal. Breach by a supplier will lead to termination of the relationship and may be reported to law enforcement.
